San Luis Obispo Mothers for Peace is a local, non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Donations are tax-deductible and go towards work to make the world safer for generations to come.
Since 1973, Mothers for Peace has focused much of its attention on the local dangers involving Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. It monitors problems and intervenes in legal cases concerning seismic safety, the storage of high level radioactive waste, degradation of coastal waters, plant security, and licensing proceedings.
